What is K- Trade Institute?
K-Trade Institute (KTI) is a research and capacity building centre on trade, agriculture and economic disciplines, driven by the need to provide research and analytical skills in the southern and eastern part of the African continent. It is a knowledge base institute that aim at building both research a capacity within institutions and individuals in the institutions. KTI was established in 2005 as a response to the shortage of skills, training and analysis in the trade, agriculture and general economy in southern and eastern Africa.
What We Do
We provide research and training on the areas of trade, agriculture and economics in the Southern and Eastern African (SEA) region. KTI projects knowledge of these issues, identify and develop viable opportunities for stakeholders, expertise in research and economic analysis and a wide network of southern and eastern African Institutions.
KTI is in a position to provide services and facilitate access to both public and private sector activities. This is based on the extensive network in both established and emerging businesses.
KTI works closely with governments in the SEA region, Institutions within countries, regional institutions, private sector as well as civil society organizations in the region. This close cooperation allows KTI to provide and access information timely and efficiently.
